The Council is chaired by the President Olivier De Schutter. The Vice-Chair is Bogdan Vanden Berghe, Director of the Coordination of the Flemish North-South Movement.
The Council consists of eight active members and eight alternate members. The members of the Council were appointed by Ministerial Decree on May 21, 2014.

Two active members and two alternate members of the French-speaking academic world.
Two active members and two alternate members of the Dutch-speaking academic world. The active members for the Dutch-speaking academic world are Bénédicte Fonteneau and Kim Van der Borght. The alternate members are Arnim Langer and Patrick Van Damme.
Two active members and two alternates of the French-speaking coordination of international solidarity organisations, the CNCD 11.11.11-National Centre for Development Cooperation. The active members of the CNCD 11.11.11- National Centre for Development Cooperation are Arnaud Zacharie and Laurent Atsou. Alternate members are Oumou Zé and Francois Polet.
Two active members and two alternates of the Dutch coordination of international solidarity organisations, Koepel van de Vlaamse Noord-Zuidbeweging – 11.11.11. The two active members of the Dutch coordination are Bogdan Vanden Berghe and Veerle Lens. The alternate members are Els Hertogen and Xavier Declercq.
