With a degree in anthropology, Laurent Atsou has worked within the International Trade Union Cooperation Institute (IFSI) of the FGTB since 2007. He is primarily tasked with responsibility for Africa and coordinates several projects throughout the continent and in Palestine. He is also responsible for monitoring a large workers education program that reaches over 70,000 workers across Francophone, English and Portuguese Africa each year.
His position keeps him constantly in touch with the various changing African realities, and specifically those realities related to the world of work and the African trade union movement. His expertise is concentrated primarily around the implementation of the four pillars of the decent work agenda.
