Veerle Lens has worked in the International Department of the SCC since 2011. She is responsible for the overall management of the quality of international development cooperation programmes for the International Labour Education Institute (IEOI). She holds a masters degree in Germanic philology and a graduate degree in dramaturgy and aggregation. She initially taught at a secondary school and was an academic assistant at the KUL and UCL. From 1989 to 2010, Veerle worked on education, community projects and training development cooperation in South Africa, Zambia and the Zimbabwe. During this period, she obtained several degrees to the University of South Africa (UNISA), including a diploma on mediation and conflicts resolution, multicultural studies, and additionally, a degree in occupational psychology.
